BushProof just completed the construction of a solar-powered water supply pumping system for the distribution of 100 m3 per day in a commune in south-eastern Madagascar. The water is rich in iron, so a treatment system using aeration and filtration has been set up which can treat 10 m3 per hour.

We’ve built a 3 kW solar pumping system and it’s the last of a series of similar systems in the Southeast of Madagascar. The pump takes water from a borehole and delivers 30 m3/day for the community. An innovative treatement plant (retro-filter) has been built to remove high iron concentration in the water.
